This is a male Stripe-tailed hummingbird, originally photographed by Michael & Patricia Fogden. Their preferred habitat is forested mountains from the Chiapas into Guatemala, the Honduras and Nicaragua.9 The artist has reinterpreted the environment that surrounds and sustains the hummingbird... as water waves in shades of pale white and sage green that seem to float the flowers toward you.
